Wow this might have been a clever way of drawing attention to this thread, but no just incontinance I mean incompetance. 'Mysery' when spelt properly should sound like 'Mr Lee' said in a Japanese way.

Friday October 7th 7.30pm 30/27*

So this might come as a bit of a shock but there is another whisky tasting, 12 Danish loons are coming over and wanted to try something from each of Cadenheads' ranges while also covering the different regions and styles. the drams are their choice and they are happy to make the tasting an open affair if anybody wants to join in.

Note it is on a Friday for a change but the same time and venue. Also there are two tickets left for Thursday's Bladnoch tasting.

Cradle Mountain Small Concern Whisky Distillery Tasmania 11yo 55.3%
Bladnoch 1990 - July 2010 20yo Bourbon hogshead 281 bottles 52.2%
Glenlivet 1976 - September 2006 30yo sherry butt 432 bottles 57.1%
Tobermory 1994 - February 2008 13yo 46% sherry wood 681 bottles
Banff 1976 - June 2009 32yo 47.1% Bourbon hogshead 123 bottles
Duthies Ardbeg 16yo 46% 1110 bottles
Classic Campbeltown 50%

I'm gutted to have to say that, due to my new career shift commitments, I can no longer make these regular tastings. And especially tonight's tasting! Ah well, all good things must come to an end... sob...

Bairn of Islay single cask single malt 40% Edinburgh Wine Merchants

John Black blended malt 10yo 40%

Due to not having any Longrow Burgundy/PC9/Octomore (although the latter two might arrive tomorrow) tomorrow night's peat treat will otherwise be Ardbeg Alligator.

I know I haven't fed back from these tastings for a looong time but time and liver constraints contrive against one. I hope to summarise all tastings since the last one in a mega post, the Bladnoch tasting not least.

While I'm at it the line up for the next 'World' tasting has been finalised, this is potentially the securist selection so far:-

Thursday October 27th 7.30pm World whiskies 20/17
USA : McCarthy's 42.5%
India : Amrut Herald 60.8%
Austria : Waldviertler J.H. pure rye malt 41%
Ireland : Cadenheads Cooley 13yo Bourbon barrel 198 bottles 56.7%
Australia : Cradle Mountain 15yo 57.9% ex-Jim Beam Bourbon barrel

Wish I could make that one...I'll be in Hexham, a little too far to pop in and out. God knows how you got your hands on a bottle of McCarthy's.
