Martin has been bottling some of them, mainly because he's located just across Wigtown bay so there are no transport costs, but the shareholders can choose to have them bottled anywhere, obviously including at Bladnoch if the new owners start bottling.
I'll get the details of your cask as I can't remember, the wine casks I think held about 220/225 litres slightly more than the 190/200 litre bourbon barrels.

Hi Raymond/all....hope you are all well!

We also have a 1/20th in casks 699/701. Excited about them coming of age, but also happy to fall in behind the sage of wiser heads on when to bottle (or as Raymond suggests perhaps recask the wine one for a while if needed).

Count us in for being on an email list of owners for any discourse.

Sláinte.
Andrea

Hi,
I have had a letter from the new owners (I think) stating that the storage agreement has come to an end and the I have a three month free of charge period before being charged for rental. Has anymore been found out about getting the 697/2007 and 704/2007 casks bottled or moved?

Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve,

There is a closed Facebook group for shareholders of the #697/704 2007 wine casks. Please e-mail me on legacyofashes (at) gmail (dot) com for details on how to join.

We would also like to get in contact with Gary Satterley, please contact me as well if you are a shareholder of these casks.

Hi Everyone,

Not sure if anybody has any advice or similar experiences. I have a tenth share in cask 1080 of bladnoch which has just a couple a weeks ago turned 8yrs. I have phoned and email the distillery for the last few weeks, but I can't seem to get any information. It seems they can't make their mind up whether they'll bottle themselves or not. Quite frustrating really, all I want to know is when something will start to get sorted.

Seems like I'll have to just be patient
Simon

High Simon,
Ultimately it's up to the owners of the ten shares as to where it's bottled but whatever the decision it is not possible before it turns 8 yo.
I'll put you in touch with the other owners and you can all decide what you think is best. I'll send you a personal message sometime tomorrow.

Raymond: I'd love to have a list of the owners of 98/2007. It turned 8 in February.

Hi Alabaster, I heard him mention that he had bought a few interesting older casks and hoped to pick them up soon. A month or two before Christmas is the time when he sells quite a lot to trade buyers buying in for Christmas.
